Meet Natasha – our newest face

The web is becoming a complex place and increasingly clients are wanting to make all their IT systems talk to their website. So, at Cubeworks, we decided that what we needed was someone with the skills and knowledge to simplify the ambitious projects that we are taking on these days.
Meet Natasha, the latest addition to the Cubeworks team, and our Senior Business Analyst. Natasha brings with her 10 years commercial experience working on software & web development projects, including two years at the Home Office.
“So what does a business analyst do?” I hear (most of) you say.
A business analyst, or BA, helps to understand and tease out a client’s business requirements and propose a suitable technical solution. To put it another way, a BA is the glue between the client and the production team who will be engineering the end-product.
Business analysts talk their own language (known as UML), which is a diagrammatic way of representing requirements. For example, this might include the tasks that a certain user needs to complete or the various journeys that a user will take through a system. What this means is that complex requirements can be described in a standard way that clients and developers alike can understand.
We think this is vital on complex web projects and that’s why Natasha has come on-board. She looks forward to meeting all our clients before too long!
